Tent Camping?!?

Dear readers, I am not a "camping" type of person. I can't say I've ever enjoyed "roughing it." I've always loved the beach, and all thing around the beach. Between mountains and beach, I would definitely choose beach (One of the greatest things about living in North Carolina is that is you go one direction, you can go to the mountains, but if you go the other direction, you meet the seashores!). However, one of my favorite parts is relaxing at the hotel. This coming week, my grandma, sister, and I are headed down to South Carolina to go camping...in a tent. I have always been one to look forward to new experiences, but I can't say I was thrilled when I heard we were going for an ENTIRE WEEK. However, as the time has drawn closer, I am looking forward to this trip very much! I have packed (probably too much, lol) and prepared for several months now, complete with a Pinterest board specifically for this trip, lol. This means that I won't be able to post for the next 7 days. I will be looking forward to telling you all about it when I get home, however! Please pray for safety for us!

On a side note, I thought I would tell you about the fun day I had on Wednesday (or was it Tuesday? It's been a hectic week;)). My cousins came in town from South Carolina, and my sweet Pawpaw had planned a surprise the four of us girls. He took us on a trailer ride! He pulled us about 5 miles down the road on his tractor, with us in the back in a trailer. He even made us a nice bench to sit on! The only down side was that it was raining, but oh well. A little rain never hurt anyone. Plus, we did it again the next day, with the sun shining down. We rode from his house to the local farmer's market, where we got scoops of ice cream. Talk about a fun time! P.S. My mom followed us with her hazard lights on for safety. This is where the pictures came from.

As you can see, the sun decided not to make an appearance!

We made it! (Pulling into the Farmer's Market parking lot)

My sister signaling to make a right turn ;)
That's all for now! I hope you have a blessed week ahead!

  5. Wow! That looks like so much fun! When I was younger, my grandpa used to set up a big tent in the backyard and we would sleep in it. I haven't thought about that memory in a long time. This post reminded me of it! I hope you have fun Caleigh! :D
Oh, and I wanted to ask you. Have you ever driven a tractor? It's really fun. And difficult if you have an older model. ;)

    1. Besides this time, I went tent camping when I was about three with my cousins. I don't remember a lot from that trip, but this trip was a lot of fun!
