Happy Father's Day!

It seems like just yesterday I did a post on Mother's Day. In reality, it was over a month ago! As this COVID-19 is *finally* coming to a close, everyone is enjoying getting out of the house, I'm sure. This morning we were able to have a semi-normal church service, actually sitting in chairs close to one another, and inside, lol. The only downside was that there were no hugs๐Ÿ˜ฅ. Happy Father's Day to all the wonderful fathers out there! Sorry y'all, but my Dad is truly the best. A while ago, I was nominated for the Liebster Award, and one of the questions I answered was "What's one thing your dad does that makes you feel loved?" I answered that my Dad (lovingly called Daddy by me and my sister) was super involved in our lives and went above and beyond when it came to being a provider and a protector. Today will be a similar post to the Mother's Day post. I'm going to answer the same three questions I asked myself on Mother's Day.

What are the top three best thing about your Dad? Okay, his computer skills are amazing. He has gotten us out of so many scrapes when it comes to computer issues! I honestly don't know how people live without a computer oriented Dad, lol. Second, he is the "calm voice of reason" in our house. It is extremely rare to hear him raise his voice, and when he does, oh boy. He has talked me down off of ledges (not literally) sooooo many times. Finally, his grilling skills are THE BOMB. His hamburgers cannot be beat!

What is your favorite thing about his personality? He is so laid back. He barely gets upset over anything! He is very optimistic, and if he had a life motto, it would probably be "Don't worry, be happy." I've taken after this trait of his. He is such a godly man and goes to the Bible for everything. I couldn't ask for a better father.

Off the top of your head, what would be the funniest moment you've had with your Dad? Oh my, there are so many. Probably when he *accidentally* gave me a bloody nose. It was right before bedtime, and Dad had gone down to our basement. Mom had asked me to go down to the main level and grab her scarf off the top of the dryer. As I was returning to give the said scarf to Mom, I heard Dad begin to climb the stairs leading up the main level, about 2 feet away from where I was standing. My first thought was "I'll scare him good!" I hid behind the wall and right as he emerged from the top of the stairs, I jumped out, screaming some non-sensical word. His first reaction of course, was to thrust his hand forward, bopping me in the nose. Hard. Immediately, he began apologizing, but apologies wouldn't stop the blood beginning to run from my nose. I was laughing and crying, laughing because I knew I had got him good and because of how funny his face was when I scared him, and crying because, darn, my nose hurt. In the process of getting cleaned up, blood dripped onto Mom's *clean* scarf. Once the bleeding stopped, Dad called up to my Mom, "How do we get blood out of your scarf?" Mom, who didn't know what had happened, responded, "Do I want to know?" "Well, Dad-" I started, but Mom broke in. "Nope, I don't want to know." We did end up telling her what had happened, and we still joke about Dad punching me in the nose. Oh, and to be clear, I've never jumped out and scared him again, lol.

Lots of people say I look like my mom, but she says I look like my dad. What do you think?
